A media library built for digital signage, not for files in general
Every video and image you use across your screens lives in one cloud library, uploaded once and reused across as many playlists and displays as you need.
The NoroCMS media library is a browser-based upload area where you drag in videos and images, they are checksum-verified and stored in the cloud, and they become available to attach to any playlist on any screen in your organization immediately.
Upload once, use everywhere
Most signage teams end up with the same three or four assets running across dozens of screens: a hero video, a promo of the week, a set of static posters. Uploading the file once and reusing it everywhere sounds obvious, but a lot of signage tools still treat media as something you attach per device rather than something you manage centrally.
In NoroCMS, a file goes into the media library a single time. From there it can be added to as many playlists as you like, on screens in different locations, without re-uploading anything. Rename it, and the new name shows up everywhere it is used. Delete it, and NoroCMS will tell you which playlists still reference it before it lets you remove it, so you never accidentally break a screen that is mid-rotation.
Checksum verification, not just an upload progress bar
A corrupted video is one of the most common causes of a black screen in the field, usually discovered by whoever happens to be standing in front of the display. Every file uploaded to NoroCMS gets a SHA-256 checksum computed in your browser before it even leaves your machine, and that checksum travels with the file through storage and all the way down to the device.
A screen never plays a file until it has re-verified that checksum against what it downloaded. If a transfer gets interrupted or a byte gets flipped somewhere on a shaky cellular connection, the device throws the partial file away and re-downloads it rather than showing something broken. This is the same integrity check used for offline playback, since a cached file has to be just as trustworthy as one that just arrived.
What formats are supported
Videos in common containers (MP4 with H.264 is the safest default for the widest range of Android hardware) and still images in JPG or PNG. Mixed playlists of video and images work out of the box: an image gets a configurable on-screen duration while a video plays its natural length, and both count toward proof-of-play reporting the same way.
There is no per-file size limit baked into the product beyond what your plan's storage allowance covers, but for playback reliability on budget Android hardware we recommend keeping individual video files under a few hundred megabytes and encoding at a bitrate the target display can decode smoothly. See the displays section for hardware-specific guidance.
